Here's a family session, with emphasis on the 2 year-old twins!
I began this session as soon as they arrived in the park because I know two year-olds can melt down at any time, from which there is no return (in time for pictures)!
It was pretty fun given how prepared I was.

Emma, my little friend.

Emma can look different every time I see her.
She is the best kind of model - fully alive.

From a Recent Walk at Fresh Pond Reservoir

I walk to clear my head, to recalibrate myself, to socialize, to exercise, and to get a change of perspective. Here's a fave picture from a recent walk, beautifying the stark arrival of winter.

Frederick (Rick) Carrier live at The Moth.

Frederick Carrier telling his story live at The Moth Radio hour in Boston, Oct. 16, 2014 at The Wilbur Theater. Rick discovered the Buchenwald prisoner camps in 1945 when he was 20 years old and helped to liberate the camp the next day, including 750 orphaned boys!
He's an incredible man, and a gifted storyteller.
When his story goes live on the The Moth's site, I'll post it, too.

Sammi Yang's designs from a BFW 2013 event at the W Hotel, Boston.

Here are some pics I made of designer Sammi Yang's edgy, feminine clothes.
I was shooting live at the Boston Fashion Week event, using whatever I could find on location, as many people milled about. Terri Mahn, of The Stylist Closet, styled the shoot. Beautifully done, and fun. The model was from Dynasty Models.

How Would You Like to be Photographed ?

I'd love to create beautiful, contemporary glamour portraits of you (with a hint of fashion). You'll fall in love with the photographs of you, or of you and your: mom, daughter, friends, or significant other.
I'll create a folio of images for you from a session that lasts approximately 2 hours, and includes 3 to 5 outfit changes (depending on what looks you like) + a make-up artist. You'll love the results.

Today's Apples and Oranges.

I've been doing still life's in my kitchen lately with my iPhone and my favorite Hipstamatic ap. I find it very relaxing and absorbing. The light in my kitchen is wonderful.

New Head Shots!

Here are some recent head shots, which I love creating. It's a fun process getting someone to look their best, which first means bringing out their best, after making sure they are at ease.
I understand you don't know what these clients old head shots looked like, but the question that you can answer is would you want to do business with them, based on their new images ?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy VD to all of the lovers in the world. By that I mean if  you love anything at all, embrace your love today.
This heart was spotted on the sidewalk by someone I was walking with after a tremendous snowfall this weekend. It was just sitting there, waiting for a photograph. There was no styling involved, just my iPhone and my favorite ap, Hipstamatic, which shoots square. I shot square for years when I shot film, with medium-format cameras, my last being a Hassleblad. I love square images. Here's to love!

Dan Kennedy emcees The Moth Story Slam at Club Oberon, Cambridge, MA.

The Moth radio hour, which is riveting story telling at it's best, has been expanding into traveling Story Slams across the country. These are live story telling sessions, with an emcee, and ratings of the story telling, with the winner then going on to compete in a Grand Slam later on. Story tellers are chosen by pulling their names out of a bag.
The writer, Dan Kennedy, author Loser Goes First and Rock On, emceed. These are a few of the pictures.

Rabia + Dan's Engagement pictures

I'll be photographing Rabia and Dan's wedding this Friday at the Norton Country Club. Rabia and Dan are an energetic, fun and smart couple: all things I appreciate. I'm really looking forward to being there for them and creating images from my heart of the love I see between them.

Tracy + Randy's Wedding Album

I  photographed Tracy and Randy's wedding and reception at Habitat, in Belmont, MA, in June of 2005. Juneteenth, to be exact, which is June 19th (a nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States)
Tracy and Randy are both busy filmmakers (see The Film Posse), and are usually working on lengthy projects, so it took awhile for them to finalize choices for their wedding album, which is not unusual, by the way.
But, they now have their wedding album, which I'm very happy about. I think having a one-of-a-kind book documenting the beginning of a couple's married life together is a celebration of that beginning, and as time passes, becomes an invaluable memento.

Snappy Dance Co.

This is an older image which I still love. It was taken at the decisive moment, and it says so much about relationships in one still shot, too.

Intercontinental Hotel, Jan. 14, 2012

I love shooting events. They are so much fun. The DJ's at this party at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston, John Zucco and his un-named cohort (in last picture), were particularly "on it" that evening.
